Welcome to my blog, I hope you find it informative and valuable. Please note, important dates of upcoming events this spring are listed below.
As we wrap up February we can see that the end of the second trimester is upon us leaving us only one trimester left. This school year we have been working diligently to clarify what we want our students to learn in the disciplines of Science and Social Studies and are nearing completion. These along with our already completed Essential Learner Outcomes and Learning Targets for English Language Arts and Math will allow us to be aligned in all our core areas of instruction K-6. You will find a full listing of our Essential Learning Outcomes and our Learning Targets / Essential Learnings on our district webpage under “Student Learning” tab. I am very proud of all the time and commitment everyone has put into this initiative - becoming clear on what we want our students to learn will truly add to their increased level of achievement!
Our students, who bring a smile to my face daily, continue their commitment in being students in a school striving to always being respectful, responsible, and safe. Students also continue to work very hard on their studies with a strong priority focus given to ensuring that ALL our students become the best readers they can be to assist in ensuring their success. Hopefully you notice this woven throughout the school and in multiple venues.
Parent teacher conferences will be March 7th and 9th from 4:00 to 7:00. Your child's teacher will have more information coming home regarding your conference days and times. I look forward to seeing you on those days. The Frazee-Vergas Elementary PTO will have hot dogs, chips, and water available if you are looking to pick up supper on those evenings. Thanks PTO!

3/21/17 - 1st and 2nd Grade Music Program (10:15-11:15; 1:30-2:30)
